Our designers play with bold tropical prints and modern tie-dye techniques for summer’s coolest jeans.

Denim fun continues! This summer we’ll be wearing our jeans covered in florals and tie dye swirls. We chatted with designer Remi Costeplane who gave us some insight into these fresh new bottoms. “We wanted to register prints from the summer collection and use them on our denim, but in a different way,” says Remi.  “A new technique called ‘sublimation print’ allowed us to do so.” We’ll let you be the judge, but the results of this technique are quite spectacular. It allows you to maintain every detail and color of the original artwork.

We’re also taking a modern approach to a time tested technique. “We wanted to explore a way of doing tie dyes that was a bit different from what everyone is doing. We didn’t want to get too bohemian. It needed to feel like our brand DNA, which is California, and more precisely, Los Angeles,” explains Remi. “We folded our skinny before the dye and managed to create a pattern that looks almost like it was printed. It feels very modern, and at the same time, the deep blue feels like the ocean. The result is really cool.” We’d have to agree.  The multicolor pair in particular feels  super summery and fresh—almost like true colors look like after being bleached by LA sun.
