Supermodels, Then and Now, prove true beauty is ageless at this year’s LA Film Festival.

Remembering the glitz and glamour of Old Hollywood is one of our favorite ways to celebrate our fair City of Angels. Tonight is opening night of the LA Film Festival, kicking off with Woody Allen’s To Rome With Love (Penelope Cruz’s character looks hilarious, we can’t wait to see it) and it closes with the world premiere of Magic Mike (Channing Tatum as a male stripper, anyone?). There are tons of must-see films during the 10 days in-between, along with poolside chats, coffee talks and conversations with cast and crew. If you can’t get passes, we suggest you attend one of the Community Screenings…perhaps the “Dirty Dancing Dance-a-long”? While it might not be as see-and-be-seen a fete as Sundance, the LA Film Festival has a lot to offer…after all, this is Tinsel Town!

While there are many fantastic films this year, we’re fairly certain About Face will be receiving our “Palme d’Or”. The film gives an inside look into the lives of some of the most celebrated beauties such as Christie Brinkley, Cheryl Tiegs, Jerry Hall and Isabella Rossellini. Filmmaker and fashion photog Timothy Greenfield-Sanders collected the dirt on the past, present and future place of fashion models, and how it feels to be an icon. The documentary style film dishes the truth about plastic surgery, eating disorders, and what really went on backstage of the runway and behind the doors of Studio 54.

Have you seen About Face? Check out the trailer and let us know what you think.
