Hear It | Pacific Standard Time by Poolside

Poolside’s debut album is pure sunshine.

In case you’re unfamiliar, LA’s self-proclaimed “Daytime Disco” duo known as Poolside, is made up of Filip Nikolic and Jeffrey Paradise. They met at Frisco Disco in San Fran and currently make their music at a studio, poolside, in Los Feliz.

As their coined “Dance Daytime Disco” genre suggests, their sound is as light and bright as the California sun; it’s guaranteed to get hot and heavy, but it always makes you feel good. (Watch “Do You Believe” followed by “Slow Down” to see what we mean.)

We’ve been hearing about them around LA for a little while now and had one of the most fun afternoons of our lives when they DJ’d the Rhonda, Queen of the Desert Coachella Party. They recently opened for Sebastian Tellier at a Vice party and confirmed how much we love them.

Their debut album drops today: we suggest you get it and catch up on some of their older songs like a cover of Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon“.

They describe their sound as “great friends, good music, California, and mezcal.” We agree. Do you?
