JC: As a fashion maven known for never shying away from color – how did you decide on the colors for your wedding?

LC: Since I’m planning on having an outdoor wedding in the middle of a meadow, I wanted to play up the idea of wildflowers. I settled on a loose color palette of various shades of pinks, blues and purples with touches of yellow.

JC: Did you find it easy or hard to pick out your bridesmaids? And what made you decide on only having 3?

LC: I’m actually not having bridesmaids in the traditional sense. Because I have so many friends spread out from coast to coast, I decided not to have a bridal party. Instead, I’ve enlisted 3 of my LA girlfriends to be my honorary bridesmaids. This way I can have some help with the planning but also spare the feelings of some of my far away friends.

JC: You’re working full time and running a fashion blog, how do you find time to plan a wedding?

LC: Well to be honest the planning has been pretty hard. I think it helps that we’re not in a rush to get married. We’re just taking our time and not really stressing about it.

JC: It’s monogrammed in your tracksuit that makes it official. How does it feel to soon become Mrs. Sampson?

LC: The whole changing of the name matter was never something I really worried about. I decided I would take my fiancé’s name simply because mine is so difficult to spell and pronounce, I was pleasantly surprised at how excited I felt seeing my soon-to-be last name. And my fiancé really got a kick out of it; I don’t think he ever expected me to actually take his last name.
